The DGzRS is one of the most modern sea rescue services in the world. With a fleet of 60 rescue cruisers and boats, the sea rescuers are ready for action in all weathers on the North and Baltic Seas - around the clock. Their motto is "Go out when others come in" („Rausfahren, wenn andere reinkommen“). Their valuable work is funded exclusively by donations and voluntary contributions.
